Did you know
that cleaners labeled “non-toxic” can be harmful to the eyes or
skin, or harmful if inhaled or swallowed? Check the fine print
on the back label of your household cleaner—many cleaners
labeled as “non-toxic”
also carry health precautions and
warnings.
Because
“non-toxic,” by itself, has no legal meaning in the U.S.,
Bradley Systems created a new standard for cleaning products. We
call it:
zero-toxic.
‘Zero-toxic’ means:
|
· |
A product needs NO health warnings—not even in
the fine print on the back label |
|
· |
Every ingredient and its combination in
our formula—
has been independently evaluated for health
and
safety |
|
· |
A
product is biodegradable in water |
|
· |
Compliance with the strictest
environmental standards
—both for air and water
|
Zero-Tox has no
toxicity
Independent laboratory testing at Duke University
proves that
Zero-Tox is:
|
· |
Safe for people, pets and the environment |
|
· |
Hypoallergenic |
|
· |
Biodegradable in water |
|
· |
Not toxic to pregnant women and/or her
fetus |
|
· |
Not toxic to people with weakened immune
systems |
|
· |
Compliant with California Clean Air Rule
1171—the toughest air quality standard in the U.S. |
Zero-Tox meets the strictest safety
standards
Bradley Systems created the zero-toxic standard to protect you,
your children and your pets. This Web site includes information
on health and indoor air safety; we hope you will find it useful
in protecting you and your family from the dangers of household
chemicals. |

What does “greener” really mean?
In the area of the environment, many
people think that if a product is biodegradable, it is “green.”
But biodegradable applies only to water pollution. Air pollution
is a separate concern that deals with Volatile Organic Compounds
(VOCs). These are the ingredients that create ozone and possibly
add to global warming and/or a Greenhouse Effect.
Zero-Tox is “greener” because its cleaning formula has been
tested to meet the strictest water and clean air compliance
standards. In terms of VOCs, our product complies with
California Clean Air Rule 1171, currently the toughest air
pollution standard in the U.S.
You can feel better because Zero-Tox is not ozone-depleting, and
doesn’t contribute to global warming or to greenhouse gas
emissions.
Unlike other cleaners, you don’t need
gloves or safety glasses when using Zero-Tox. Yet it works hard
to cut through the toughest dirt and grime. That’s why we can
confidently say
Zero-Tox is
stronger, safer and greener.

“Most of
us assume that if
products are sold in
stores, they are safe,
and that our government
has laws to protect us
against harmful
products. But
unfortunately, most of
the chemicals in
ordinary products that
we use or are exposed to
every day have not been
tested for safety.
What’s worse, for years
the chemical industry
has known the toxic
effects of many
chemicals used in
products today, but
never revealed their
studies to the public or
to the government.”
